Antonello Palombi - Vasco de Gama*
Mr. Antonello Palombi is considered one of today’s finest dramatic tenors. Mr. Palombi is in extreme demand internationally, recent engagements include Canio in I Pagliacci, Radames in Aida, and Luigi in Il Tabarro at Teatro alla Scala in Milan; Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at the Royal Danish Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin and at the Finnish National Opera; Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Oper Frankfurt and at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich; Pollione in Norma at the Teatro di Messina in Sicily; Don Alvaro in La Forza del Destino with the Deutsche Oper Berlin; Faust in Mefistofele at the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv and at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège, Belgium; Calaf in Turandot at Teatro San Carlo in Napoli, Teatro Lirico-Teatro Romano in Calgliari, and at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova; the title role of Andrea Chénier with the Deutsche Oper Berlin and in concert with Oper Frankfurt; Ismaele in Nabucco at Teatro dell’Opera-Terme di Caracalla in Roma and with the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova; Dick Johnson in La Fanciulla del West at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen; Cavaradossi in Tosca and Radames in Aida at the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki; Turridu in Cavalleria Rusticana and Canio in I Pagliacci with the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova; Otello with Wrocław Opera in Poland; and Verdi’s Requiem with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. This season in the U.S., appearances include Radames in Aida with Toledo Opera and Opera Carolina; Andrea Chénier at the Metropolitan Opera; and a Seattle Opera gala.
Internationally, he will perform the title role in Otello in Genoa, in Seoul and with the West Australian Opera in Pert.
Luca Dall’Amico - Don Pédro
Young and upcoming bass Luca Dall’Amico was chosen by Riccardo Muti for the role of Agamemnon in Iphigénie en Aulide at the Opera in Rome. He was one of the four soloists of the 2011 Ravenna Festival final concert conducted by Muti in Ravenna and replicated in Piacenza and Nairobi. He recently performed in Macbeth (Banco) and Attila (Leone) under the baton of Riccardo Muti at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome; Le Nozze di Figaro in Ancona; Petite Messe Solennelle, Simon Boccanegra, I Due Foscari at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome; Barbiere di Siviglia in Venice; Madama Butterfly and Tosca in Torre del Lago. Luca Dall’Amico had just starred in concert at the Ravenna Festival and in Chicago with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Riccardo Muti conducting.
Future plans include Il Barbiere di Siviglia and La Clemenza di Tito at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice; Les Pécheurs de Perles at the Teatro Regio in Parma then on tour in Modena; Aida in St. Margarethen; Falstaff in Chicago, Riccardo Muti conducting. Mr. Dall’Amico will be engaged on tour in Tokyo with the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome performing in Nabucco and Simon Boccanegra
